Tucson Photos, Part Three: Mission San Xavier
After visiting — and certainly in juxtaposition to — the Titan Missile Museum, my cousin and I stopped at the Mission San Xavier del Bac, which rests on a reservation outside Tucson. The “White Dove of the Desert” was built 1783 - 1797 by the Franciscan Fathers Juan Bautista Velderrain and Juan Bautista Llorenz.
The mission is gorgeous inside and out. It’s really a great location for photography… inspiration comes automatically for me at places like this.
