Las Vegas Photos, March 2007
I went to Las Vegas with a couple buddies for a weekend. Most of these shots were taken hanging out of the passenger window of our rental car, which is in my opinion a very effective way of getting interesting, different photos… not because of the physical act of shooting from a moving car, but because it gives the photographer a greater sense of security.
By that I mean it gives you more balls to shoot people whom you would otherwise not feel comfortable shooting on foot. Fire the shutter and you’ll be meters/yards away from them by the time they can object, threaten, smile or otherwise react to your camera. And yes, it’s perfectly legal to capture any image you can from public areas, even if your camera is pointed at private property. Just don’t use the images for advertising.
Moral objections to shooting people unaware of your camera are entirely yours to ponder.
